Slumping form information

Please wash the form with soapy water and preheat it to 500 degrees to burn off any production residues. No Hold is needed. The form may turn dark gray or blue after heating, which is normal. Apply 3-5 coats of Boron Nitride spray, such as ZYP or MR97, to prevent the glass from sticking to the form. Kiln wash may also be used, and the form has been sanded to help it adhere. To coat with kiln wash, heat the form to 500°F, remove it from the kiln, and then brush or spray it. The form will need 3-5 coats of kiln wash. Shelf paper may also be used

Firing Schedule

All kilns fire differently, and it's up to the artist to find the firing schedule that works best for your kiln. If you have a current schedule, I suggest sticking with it. Always test fire first! Test firing is crucial for seeing how your kiln responds to the firing schedule.

Firing schedules for slumping glass depend on mold size, kiln size, and glass thickness. It's recommended to test-fire with scrap glass first to find a successful firing schedule.

As with all schedules, you may need to adjust to fit your kiln's performance. Test firing is critical.

Wall Plates

Wallplates have a brushed or swirled finish on the front and a welded bracket on the back for hanging. Instructions for mounting glass are included with your order.

Wall Plates may have machine and very small weld indentations caused by the manufacturing process. These indentations are about the size of a pinhead and cannot be avoided. They are ground down to lessen their effect. Backs may be painted.

For shipping rates on large orders, please email lookmanostand@gmail.com. If no shipping option is selected during checkout, you will be invoiced for shipping separately, and your order will ship after payment is made. Contact me with any questions.

Orders are shipped in 10-20 business days. Special orders may take longer. Shipping is not available on weekends or holidays. Small orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, while larger orders are shipped via UPS Ground. For large orders, contact us for a shipping quote. If you need faster shipping, please contact us before purchasing, and we'll be happy to expedite it for a fee. =0)

Any underpayment of shipping will delay your order and must be paid before items are shipped.

Your order is insured for $50. Additional insurance and signature delivery confirmation can be purchased by sending a message with your order form at checkout. Not responsible for underinsured purchases or purchases without signature delivery confirmation.

Wholesale

Kindly send an email to lookmanostand@gmail.com to request wholesale pricing. To be eligible, you need to possess a retail tax license. The initial purchase order must be at least $350, while subsequent orders should be $100 each. To keep your wholesale status, you should make a minimum of six purchases within a year. In case you fall short of this requirement, you will be invoiced for the total retail value of your previous wholesale purchases. Please note that wholesale orders are only accepted via email.
